Rain Or Shine Kid Fun In Wentzville, O'Fallon, St. Charles And St. Peters
In the Sept-Oct, 2008 issue of TimeOff Magazine there are some fun kid activities listed (on page 34) that are perfect for this time of year, when you need a winter coat in the morning and a raincoat in the afternoon. Here is their list of St. Charles County businesses that will let your kids run out some of that inexhaustible energy that seems to be worse when it's yuck outside.
Playtime Party Center in Wentzville is tailored to offer the best activites for all ages. Playtime has 48 games, party rooms, a toddler area and food! Visit their website for coupons and special offers.
Monkey Joe's in O'Fallon has inflatable equipment divided into age appropriate areas. Parents can
enjoy free WiFi and TV time!
Chuck E. Cheese has been in St. Charles for over 20 years and if you have kids, you probably have been there. Not only is the place loud & crazy fun, but the food and shows provide plenty of enjoyment for adults as well.
Pump It Up The Inflatable Party Zone in St. Charles could be your child's next birthday party venue. They have limited open play time, but do it up right for a perfect birthday celebration that will pump up your child.
Planet Fun in St. Peters is "12,000 square feet of non-stop entertainment for the entire family." Tubes and tubes of climbing fun that the kids can run around in and through for hours and games for kids of all ages.
Take a tip from author Robin Garrison Leach, and DON'T FORGET TO WEAR SOCKS!

Saint Louis Art Fair In Downtown Clayton
If you live anywhere around Clayton or St. Louis in general, I'm quite sure you are all too aware that the St. Louis Art Fair in Clayton has been voted the #1 Art Fair in the country, ... but have you been there to see why? So many of us St. Louisans (and I'm including all of us in the closely surrounding towns and cities) haven't been there to see some of the most amazing art. This is truly a cultural experience for kids and a learning experience only fully appreciated in person. The City of Clayton's 2008 Event Calender says it best
Visual artists will exhibit an unprecedented selection of the highest quality, original works of art. In addition, twenty of St. Louis' most outstanding restaurants will be featured on Culinary Row. With an array of entertaining arts, children's activities like The Creative Castle and musical performances on five stages, the event promises something wonderful for everyone.
Even if you've been before, make plans to attend this year - admission is free! Go here for a map and make your way there September 5, 6 & 7.

Free Movies Everywhere
Ever since the post on free movie night in Edwardsville, I have heard about other locations that offer the same kind of fun, family-friendly, free entertainment. Free movies are great. Choices for a free movie, even better.
New Town in St. Charles shows a variety of different movie genres, from classics to cartoons, every Friday night at the Amphitheater. Check out their event calendar for show details.
The Westport Plaza amplifies the free movie experience with some free pre-screening kids activities, like face painting, balloon making, popcorn, cotton candy. Their calendar of events shows only one more movie this summer, August Rush, on Tuesday, August 12.
I saw in the St. Charles Journal that Frenchtown has Friday Night Flicks with music, food and drinks starting at 8pm at 1800 N. Second Street.
Wehrenberg Theatres in the St. Louis and St. Charles areas, offer Family Summer Series 2008 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am and noon through August 14.
Regal St. Louis Mills Stadium 18 has their Free Family Film Festival at 10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through August 6.

St. Charles Hosts St. Louis Symphony Orchestra
Enjoy the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Robertson, at the Frontier Park in historic downtown St. Charles on Saturday, June 14 at 8:30pm. Grab your blanket, maybe a picnic basket and relax under the stars with the sounds of Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky and more. The sun will have set and the music will be incredible. Plus, it's FREE, once again, my favorite kind of event.
